Day 071: Magic Hours

I recently got my new Seychelles shoes in the mail and I completely adore them. What do you all think? :D

Today's Outfit:

Today I decided to wear my new Seychelles wedges with my new black skinny pants. I also wore a perforated crop top in a rust/blush color and added some light brown, big sunnies (I like to call them bitch glasses :P) and my camera ring. I tried to do a play on proportions by wearing really fitted clothing with loose, baggy clothing and then wore my super high wedges to add some length.

The Breakdown:
  • Top: H&M-$12
  • Pants: The Gap-$36
  • Shoes: Seychelles via Endless.com-$90
  • Sunnies: Delias-$5
  • Ring: ModCloth-$10

Day 070: Leaves, and Flowers, and Pollen. Oh My!

Summer has hit Maryland! It seems that we went from cold and rainy straight to hot and humid, but I don't hate it (though my allergies are kind of insane at the moment)! Everything all of sudden got really green outside and its making me long for days at the beach! Time to whip out the shorts and sandals! :)

Outfit:

I decided to keep it pretty simple (especially because I wasn't feeling well this day). I wore a button up, denim blouse in a light wash with some denim shorts that fold at the hem. To add some spice to the outfit I wore some rad gladiator-ish sandals, red-orange lipstick, and a gold pendent necklace. Perfect for being outside on campus all day! :)

The Breakdown:
  • Blouse: J.Crew-$20
  • Shorts: J.Crew-$30
  • Sandals: ModCloth-$30
  • Necklace-Ebay-$10

Day 069: Risen

I hope everyones having a blessed Easter! Although I did dress up today for Easter Sunday the day was so busy that I never ended up taking a picture. :( I do however have a picture from yesterday! :D My lovely Aunt (as pictured below) took me out to dinner at Portalli's in Old Ellicott City (great food btw!) and then to see West Side Story at the Hippodrome. I love musicals and had such a fabulous time! Of course such an occasion called for playing dress up, duh. :)

Last Night's Outfit:

It was ridiculously sunny yesterday which was sweet when not facing directly at the sun :{ So, I went with a black dress that had a billion layers which I loved. It kind of had a modernized flapper dress look. I wore a black belt with a gold buckle to cinch in the dress at the waist. With the dress I wore some sheer black hose that have little black dots on them and some black suede booties. Added some red lipstick, of course. Perfect night out on the town outfit :)

The Breakdown:

  • Dress: A gift from my Grammy :)
  • Belt: Estate sale-free
  • Shoes: Urban Outfitters-$40
  • Hose: Target-$10

Day 068: Take Me To Tiffany's

I went clothes shopping! Woot woot! Friday my brother and I went to the Hagerstown, MD outlets and found some serious sales. It was great to buy quality clothes for a steal and stock up on some wardrobe basics!

Outfit:

So, it was super sunny and the picture quality pretty much blows in my opinion, but what are ya gonna do? I wore some of my new clothes that I bought and was super excited to do so. I wore a white button-up blouse that has gray stripes on it (can't really see that because of the sun) with some charcoal cigarette pants. Red-orange lipstick, red flats-voila! Classic, simple, chic.

The Breakdown:
  • Blouse: J. Crew-$30
  • Pants: J. Crew-$35
  • Flats: Target-$20

Day 067: If I Had One Wish

Yesterday was a jam packed day and almost none of it was homework related (woo hoo!). Music, friends, free food, and beautiful weather. :)

Yesterday's Outfit:

You all may notice I wear this green sweater a lot. It is one of my favorite things in my closet. It looks good with everything and is sooOOoo comfy! I wore it with greyish capri's, a bright yellow blouse, red flats, red-orange lipstick, and some light brown sunnies. The perfect outfit for a sunny day filled with many different events and activities. :D

Day 066: Red Foxes

This outfit is actually from Monday. I'm going to try to get better at posting my outfits and updates on here I promise! It's difficult when you are a student with a heavy class load because often it comes down to working on my blog or studying for an exam that worth 20% of my grade. You get the picture :) Anyways, as I said I will try  to do better! XD

Past Outfit:

Yay for 80 degree weather and legs that haven't seen the light of day in months! I was really pumped to finally wear my new red high-waisted shorts that I bought a month or two ago. They ended up not being the most flattering silhouette for me but, hey they're cute who cares! I went for a red and pink look since I'm lovin' those colors together lately. I wore my red shorts with a red blouse that has tiny foxes all over it. For some pink accents I wore bright pink lipstick and my pink sunglasses (which I lost and recovered-phew!). Added my brown leather sandals and I was good to go for this awesome summer-like day :)

The Breakdown:
  • Shorts: H&M-$18
  • Blouse: Ruche-$30
  • Shoes: Some random store in mall-$15
  • Sunglasses: Delias-$5
  • Lipstick: MAC-$15

Day 065: Origami Animals

Yesterday, I got to spend some time with my family celebrating my Grandma's birthday which I loved. Nowadays it's so difficult to get everyone in the same house what with everyones busy schedules and all, so it was nice to get ALMOST everyone there to party-arty :D. Tons of food, nice conversations, and present opening (my Grandma would much rather give presents then get them so everyone made sure to shower her with sentimental gifts)- It was a lovely time :) And then later I hung out with friends where I stuffed my face with even more food. Late night Wendy's run-woot woot!

Yesterday's Outfit:

I have been loving pinks mixed with animal print lately, so I was all about this pink-leopard pairing. I wore a rose colored blouse with a leopard maxi skirt with some leggings worn underneath for some warmth (it was a little chilly yesterday). I wore my brown boots, black sweater, and my gold chained purse. Also, I made some curtains recently out of some awesome, quirky fabric from IKEA and had some leftover fabric so I tied a strip of it around my head as a headband. :)

The Breakdown:
  • Blouse: Goodwill-$4
  • Skirt: Goodwill-$5
  • Boots: Delias-$40
  • Headband-IKEA fabric-free-ish
  • Sweater-Target-$15
  • Purse: A gift

Day 064: Double Rainbow

Today there was a craft fair on campus where I was able to do a little shopping and support my fellow students. It was great! I love supporting local craftiness! Especially when said crafts and/or baked goods are made by my lovely friends Brittany and Jenny. Jenny makes hippie style headbands and both made delicious double rainbow cupcakes (I had two :X).

Today's Outfit:

Today I was going for a slightly bohemian look. This style especially took over once I bought my new taupe, braided knit headband from the craft fair. I absolutely adore it. I also wore a black velvet skirt, a rust colored, perforated crop top, brown lace-up boots, my light brown sunnies, and some brown and white bangles. I also got a new zipper ring today that was 25 cents! Say wha?

The Breakdown:
  • Top: H&M-$13
  • Skirt: Estate sale-free
  • Boots: Urban Outfitters-$40
  • Sunnies: Delias?
  • Bangles: A little shop in India-$?

Day 063: Little Bicycle Man

GAH! Today was gorgeous! Seriously the most perfect weather a girl could ask for. AND I actually got to spend a chunk of it outside instead of being cooped up indoors all day. Not to mention I made my first Rita's trip of the season. Bring on the mint chocolate chip cream ice!

Today's Outfit:

I have been waiting for the perfect Spring day to debut my new vintage mint green dress! The print is fabulously quirky with the little guys riding tiny bicycles all over it (attempted to get a close up of it). I wore that with a bright red skinny belt that has a little bit of a sheen and bright red lipstick. I also wore my Aztec printed flats that add a lot of complimentary colors to the dress and that have the same pink tones as my sunnies!

The Breakdown:
  • Dress: AuH2O Vintage-$23
  • Shoes: Urban Outfitters-$15
  • Sunnies: Delias-$5
  • Belt: Estate Sale-free
Affectionaly, Allie

P.S. There was one photo I chose not to show because of the awkward foot action (no seriously, check it out). However, the way the wind blew my dress for this photo made me realize how awesome a crinoline skirt underneath would be :D
