Day 110: Still Around Town

This past Christmas I received black combat boots under my tree. I have been loving playing up the rocker-chic look every since. I love the balance that is created when a light, flowy top is paired with tight jeans and heavy boots.

The Breakdown:
  • Top: Urban Outfitters-$5
  • Jeggings: Gap-$35
  • Boots: Seychelles-$111
  • Necklace: Pull and Bear-$10
  • Locket Necklace: Ebay-$10

Day 109: Strange As Angels

I love sparkles. So, when I saw these leggings in an Express ad campaign I knew I had to have them! Problem was they were ridiculously expensive! That's where Black Friday came into the picture :) Thank you for amazing sales and pretty things!

The Breakdown:
  • Leggings: Express-$60
  • Sweater: H&M-$20
  • Jacket: Target-$30
  • Bow: Forever 21-$2
  • Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell-$120
  • Lipstick: Urban Decay Super-Saturated in Crush-$19

Day 108: That Dizzy Edge

You may notice by the presence of leaves in these photos that they are a bit old. I found them on my computer from a couple of months ago. They are still semi-relevant I hope. After all, when is a chunky sweater not "in" during these could winter months :)

The Breakdown:
  • Sweater: Victoria's Secret-$40
  • Shirt: No idea :-/
  • Tights: Gap-$3
  • Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell-$120

Day 107: Both Sides Now

I have been tucking a little money away for over a month now to save up for my new pair of Jeffrey Campbell black Lita shoes. I FINALLY got them and am SO thrilled with them! I also am obsessed with my new lipstick. I'm always wearing lipsticks that are super bright and saturated, but I really wanted a shade that was in the brown family for Autumn. I went to the MAC store last week and they helped me pick out a shade that worked for my coloring. Browns and taupes are tricky sometimes so I definitely recommend going somewhere where you can try on different shades and experiment!

The Breakdown:
*When you sign up for an account with them they e-mail you a coupon for 20% off your first purchase :)

Day 106: Curiouser and Curiouser

I present to you my Halloween costume this year :) I hated all the ones in the stores so I made my own!

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"
-Alice

Halloween was a wicked awesome time ;D My brother and I took our little cousin, Damien, trick-or-treating for the first time with his mommy. I also, made little bite-size cake ghosts, hot grape and cranberry spiced juice, and a little fall-themed centerpiece!

The Breakdown:
  • Blue Dress: An old prom dress from Goodwill that I cut above the knee-$10
  • Striped stockings: Spirit Halloween Store-$8
  • Shoes: Target: $8
  • Apron: A curtain on clearance from Walmart that I cut-$8
  • Black hair ribbon: Walmart-$1
  • Hot Pink Lipstick: Urban Decay via Sephora-$19

Day 105: A Case of You

The proportions look a bit off in these photos, not sure why. You get the gist though...Oh, and you should check out James Blake's cover of a Joni Mitchell song called "A Case of You." :)

I have some boot cut jeans that I just don't feel like wearing usually. They kind of seem out of style at this point (though they never leave for long and will be back soon I'm sure). My solution: to roll them up about 3 inches or so above the ankle. I think it looks cute and casual in a boyfriend-jeans kind of way :)

The Breakdown:
  • White tank: H&M-$8
  • Jeans: Banana Republic-$20
  • Shoes: Toms-$54
  • Scarf: H&M-$10
  • Purse: Target-$20

Day 104: In Every Direction

Readers, meet my new skirt. New skirt, meet the readers. I love it. It's the perfect color for Fall this season and oh so flowy and wonderful. If I could, I'd get one in every color. Although I should add it is not the warmest item of clothing I own. Solution: Leggings underneath. Shh...no one has to know ;)

Happy Fall!

The Breakdown:
  • Shirt: Vintage
  • Skirt: Romwe-$32
  • Boots: Urban Outfitters-$40
  • Belt: Came with a pair of H&M pants
